"""v211 -- Axion DM, the spine-angle branch theta_i = pi N_fam/g_car = 3 pi/5
(108 deg): an ALTERNATIVE, more robust misalignment angle than the
determinant-line hilltop theta_i ~ 170 deg of v185. A [C] kill-test branch,
NOT a closure: the abundance is still cosmology, and the spine motive competes
with the seam-value motive -- the full finite-T solver decides.
CONTEXT (v185 / FR.DM.02/03). The determinant-line axion f_a = M_scal/128 at
the hilltop theta_i = pi(1 - phi_seam) ~ 170 deg OVER-produces: the converged
finite-T solve gives Omega_a h^2 ~ 0.66 ~ 5.5x above Omega_DM h^2 = 0.12, and
Omega_DM is reached only at theta_i ~ 106 deg. Near the 170 deg hilltop the
relic is exponentially sensitive (a fragile scenario).
THE SPINE-ANGLE PROPOSAL.
[I] 1. RATIONAL MOTIVE (no fit). theta_i = pi N_fam/g_car = 3 pi/5 = 108 deg
EXACTLY -- the central spine quotient 3/5 = N_fam/g_car, a rational
multiple of pi, NOT tuned to the relic.
[N] 2. ON TARGET. the same finite-T solver (v185 normalisation: theta_i=1 ->
Omega_a h^2 ~ 0.03) reaches Omega_DM = 0.12 at theta_i ~ 106 deg; the
spine angle 108 deg sits essentially there (|108-106| ~ 2 deg). The
harmonic estimate 0.03 theta^2 = 0.03*(3 pi/5)^2 ~ 0.107 confirms the
order; a mild anharmonic factor (theta well below the hilltop) lifts it
to ~0.12.
[C] 3. ROBUST (the genuine advantage over v185). 108 deg lies in the MILD-
anharmonic regime, FAR below the 170 deg hilltop, so the relic is NOT
exponentially sensitive to theta_i -- a far more robust landing on
Omega_DM than the determinant-line/hilltop branch. IF the misalignment
angle is the spine quotient, the determinant-line axion is ALL of dark
matter WITHOUT hilltop tuning.
[O] 4. HONEST -- AN ALTERNATIVE ANSATZ. theta_i = 3 pi/5 (spine motive) and
theta_i = pi(1 - phi_seam) ~ 170 deg (seam-value motive, v185) are
MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE readings of the same angle; neither is forced. This
branch is registered as DM.AXION.SPINE.01, decided by the full solver --
a sharper SCENARIO, not a derivation. The abundance is cosmology, never
a compiler output.
[X] 5. KILL TEST (dated). a full finite-T solve at theta_i = 3 pi/5,
f_a = M_scal/128, N_DW = 1: if Omega_a h^2 is NOT in ~[0.08, 0.16] the
spine branch is demoted (the compiler core untouched; the no-WIMP E8
scan is independent).
Python-only (rational angle + harmonic estimate; the full finite-T ODE with
chi(T) is the standard cosmology solve, flagged, not a compiler claim).
