"""v243 -- scattering: the Haag-Ruelle skeleton + the braiding S-matrix.  This is
the "S-matrix" layer of the emergent QFT. The seam net has a mass gap (v64/v238),
so Haag-Ruelle scattering theory constructs asymptotic in/out states; and for the
abelian anyon MTC (v241/v242) the 2-particle S-matrix is the monodromy (double
braiding), a pure phase -- diagonal, factorised (integrable) scattering with
Yang-Baxter and crossing satisfied exactly.

This does NOT give 4d physical cross-sections (that is the open uplift, Phase 3);
it exhibits the EXACT topological/chiral scattering data and shows the braiding IS
the S-matrix, with the v238 mass gap supplying asymptotic completeness.

Same MTC as v241/v242: Z4 x Z4, q(x,y)=(5x^2+3y^2)/8 mod 1, B(a,b)=q(a+b)-q(a)-q(b)
the bilinear, theta(a)=e^{2 pi i q(a)}.  Monodromy M(a,b)=theta(a+b)/(theta(a)
theta(b))=e^{2 pi i B(a,b)}.

  [E] 1. MASS GAP -> ASYMPTOTIC STATES.  The OS/RP mass gap Delta=6 log(3/2)>0
        (v64/v238) is the verified input; Haag-Ruelle scattering theory then
        constructs in/out asymptotic states (standard AQFT theorem given a gap).
  [E] 2. 2-PARTICLE S = MONODROMY.  M(a,b)=theta(a+b)/(theta(a)theta(b))=
        e^{2 pi i B(a,b)} is the double braiding; |M|=1 (unitary) and it is DIAGONAL
        in the anyon labels (the charges are conserved superselection labels), so
        there is NO particle production -- factorised (integrable) scattering.
  [E] 3. YANG-BAXTER / FACTORISATION.  M is a bicharacter, M(a+a',b)=M(a,b)M(a',b)
        and M(a,b+b')=M(a,b)M(a,b'), so multi-particle scattering factorises into
        2-particle phases consistently -- the abelian Yang-Baxter condition.
  [E] 4. CROSSING + SYMMETRY.  M(a,b)=M(b,a) (B symmetric) and M(a,-b)=conj(M(a,b))
        (crossing: antiparticle -b) -- the 2-particle S-matrix has the right
        crossing/exchange structure.
  [E] 5. HOLOMORPHIC POINT = TRIVIAL S. On the condensed (E8)_1 (the single
        deconfined sector, v241/v235/v237) the monodromy is trivial, M=1 -- a
        closed, anomaly-free bulk with trivial braiding, consistent with det 1 /
        SRE. Scattering is non-trivial only in the un-condensed (matter) sectors.
  [O] 6. THE RESIDUAL. The 4d S-matrix and physical cross-sections are the open
        holographic uplift (Phase 3 / the spectral-action route); this exhibits the
        EXACT 2d topological scattering data (braiding = S-matrix) with the mass gap
        from v238.  A target, not a closure.

  Python-only (finite monodromy/bicharacter algebra + the v238 gap; the
  Haag-Ruelle existence is the standard gapped-net theorem, structural).
