"""v253 -- PS.KAPPA.01: pinning kappa in  M_PS = kappa * M_s.  This discharges the
open residual 6(b) of v249 ("exact kappa, now ~1.0-1.2, not pinned") as far as it
can honestly be discharged: kappa is pinned to an O(1) interval by the RG, and its
heat-kernel ORIGIN is made explicit (why it is a pure number, not a knob); the exact
scheme-independent value stays [O] (it needs the cutoff-function moments fixed).

The scalaron scale is fixed exactly by the seam axiom:
    M_s = c3^{7/2} * Mbar  (c3 = 1/(8 pi)),  ~ 3.06e13 GeV   [E, from {c3, Mbar}].
The Pati-Salam breaking scale M_PS is the RG output of the carrier-native two-step
unification (v249).  kappa := M_PS / M_s.

WHY kappa is a heat-kernel number (not a free parameter). In the spectral action
S = Tr f(D/Lambda), the gauge kinetic terms (=> the unification scale), the
Einstein-Hilbert term and the R^2 term (=> the scalaron) ALL descend from the SAME
cutoff scale Lambda and the SAME heat-kernel moments f_0, f_2, f_4 of one cutoff
function f (Gilkey/Seeley-DeWitt; Chamseddine-Connes).  Hence both M_PS and M_s are
Lambda times a dimensionless heat-kernel factor, and

    kappa = M_PS / M_s = sqrt( (f_2/f_0) * c_PS / c_grav )

where c_PS, c_grav are traces over the finite Hilbert space H_F (the 96-dim triple,
v252).  Lambda cancels: kappa is scale-free.  With O(1) cutoff moments (f_2/f_0 ~ 1)
and the universal a_4 coefficients over H_F, kappa is O(1) -- exactly the band the RG
finds. The exact decimal needs f_2/f_0 fixed (the cutoff shape), so it is [C]/[O].

  [E] 1. SCALARON SCALE.  M_s = c3^{7/2} Mbar = 3.06e13 GeV, exact from {c3, Mbar}.
  [E] 2. kappa PINNED (RG interval). Scanning the PDG coupling errors and the two
        E8-allowed contents (16-Higgs, +(15,1,1)), kappa = M_PS/M_s lands in a tight
        O(1) interval consistent with kappa ~ 1 (1-loop ~1.0-1.7; the experiment's
        2-loop ~1.0-1.2) -- pinned, not free.
  [C] 3. HEAT-KERNEL ORIGIN.  kappa = sqrt((f_2/f_0) c_PS/c_grav) is a ratio of
        heat-kernel coefficients over H_F (Lambda cancels); O(1) moments give an O(1)
        kappa, so the RG value falls in the structurally-allowed band [0.3, 3].
  [X] 4. NEG CONTROL. The 126-type content drives kappa out of the O(1) window
        (kappa not in [0.5, 5]) -- the scalaron coincidence is content-selective, a
        falsifiable corner, not an identity that holds for any content.
  [O] 5. RESIDUAL. the exact, scheme-independent kappa needs the cutoff-function
        moments f_2/f_0 fixed; TFPT's c3 is the candidate normalisation but the
        f-fixing is not yet proven. kappa is pinned to O(1), not yet to a decimal.

Status: [E] scalaron scale + RG interval; [C] heat-kernel origin; [X] negative
control; [O] the exact decimal. Python-only (1-loop analytic two-step solve; numpy).
