"""v323 -- the keystone, pushed one honest step: Bisognano-Wichmann makes the seam
modular flow GEOMETRIC, so the mu4 deck invariance is NOT an independent axiom.
v309 reduced the bedrock QGEO.SYM.01 (omega o rho = omega) to "the raw collar is the
specific clock-invariant thermal quasi-free state." That residual is still a bespoke
state condition. This module sharpens it with the Bisognano-Wichmann (BW) theorem.
The clock rho = diag(i^n) is literally a GEOMETRIC rotation: rho = exp(i(pi/2)L) with
L = diag(n) the seam rotation generator, so mu4 ⊂ U(1)_rot is the quarter-turn subgroup.
BW (and its conformal-net descendants Hislop-Longo / Brunetti-Guido-Longo) says: the
vacuum modular flow of a region in a conformal net is GEOMETRIC. Concretely, if the
seam covariance C is rotation-covariant (a function of L), then the modular Hamiltonian
K = log((1-C)/C) is also a function of L, the modular flow sigma_t = e^{iKt} commutes
with ALL rotations, and EVERY rotation -- in particular the mu4 clock -- is automatically
a modular symmetry. No fine-tuned period-4 curvature is needed (unlike v309).
The pay-off is a LINKED bedrock: GIVEN the seam is the (E8)_1 chiral conformal net
(v308/SEAM.EQUIV.01), BW makes its vacuum modular flow geometric, so omega o rho = omega
follows. The two open bedrock items collapse toward ONE: the remaining premise is just
that the raw collar vacuum is rotation-invariant (no preferred seam angle).
[E] 1. CLOCK = GEOMETRIC ROTATION: rho = diag(i^n) = exp(i(pi/2)L), L = diag(n) the
rotation generator; rho^4 = exp(i 2pi L) = I -- mu4 ⊂ U(1)_rot (quarter turns).
[E] 2. BW MODULAR FLOW IS GEOMETRIC: a rotation-covariant C = f(L) gives K = g(L), so
[K, L] = 0 (the modular flow commutes with all rotations) AND [rho, K] = [rho, C]
= 0 -- the mu4 clock is a modular symmetry FOR FREE.
[E] 3. DISCRIMINATOR vs v309: a period-4 curvature preserves the clock ([rho, K] = 0)
but its modular flow is NOT geometric ([K, L] != 0) -- BW is STRICTLY STRONGER
than v309's clock-invariance (it pins the WHOLE rotation group, not just mu4).
[E] 4. NEG CONTROL: a non-rotation-covariant C (a function NOT of L) breaks [rho, K]
!= 0 -- rotation covariance is the EXACT condition for the geometric flow.
[C] 5. LINKED BEDROCK: given the seam is the (E8)_1 chiral net (v308), BW makes the
vacuum modular flow geometric => QGEO.SYM.01 is DOWNSTREAM of SEAM.EQUIV.01 +
a rotation-invariant vacuum, NOT an independent axiom.
[O] 6. RESIDUAL: the single remaining premise is that the RAW collar vacuum is
rotation-invariant -- cleaner than v309's bespoke thermal state, and shared
with v308. NOT a closure.
HONEST SCOPE: [E] the finite-model BW construction + the v309 discriminator; [C] the
linkage to v308 via the cited BW/Hislop-Longo theorem; [O] the rotation-invariance of
the raw seam. Python-only (numpy linear algebra)."""
