"""v351 -- SEAM.EQUIV.CONTINUUM.02: the continuum realisation sharpened by the bootstrap. The
"c=8 ambiguity" that earlier modules flagged as the open discriminator (v277/v344: "c=8 alone
does not pin the net -- SO(16) also has c=8") is RESOLVED, non-circularly, by the seam's
ORDER-4 mu4 clock. So the continuum residual of SEAM.EQUIV.01 is no longer "which c=8 net?"
(E8 vs SO(16)) -- it is PURELY the existence of the chiral edge / massless scaling limit of
the gapped quasi-free collar. This does NOT close SEAM.EQUIV.01, but it removes the which-net
ambiguity from the residual.

[E] 1. THE TWO c=8 EVEN LATTICES. At c=8 there are exactly two even self-dual / even
lattice nets relevant here: E8 (det Cartan 1, holomorphic, 1 primary) and D8=SO(16)
(det Cartan 4, 4 primaries). Earlier modules left "E8 vs SO(16)" as the open
        discriminator (the det K=1 bit).
[E] 2. THE ORDER-4 CLOCK RESOLVES IT. The seam clock is mu4 -- ORDER 4 -- forced by the
        four Gauss-Bonnet marks (|mu4| = 4 = h(A3), v216). The carrier extension D5(+)A3 by
        an order-4 (index-4) simple current is E8 (v154); by an order-2 (index-2) current it
would be D8=SO(16). So the order-4 clock selects the index-4 extension = E8, NOT the
        index-2 = SO(16).  Equivalently: the FULL mu4 condensation 16->4->1 (det 1) vs the
PARTIAL Z2 condensation 16->4 (det 4, v281). The order of the clock (4, not 2) is the
discriminator, and it is non-circular (the four marks are Gauss-Bonnet).
  [E] 3. THE BOOTSTRAP AGREES. h(E8)=30 (max prime 5 = g_car, the Coxeter-match, v6/v350)
while h(D8)=14 (max prime 7); SO(16) fails the carrier bootstrap, so the algebraic
fixed point is uniquely E8. Two independent selectors (the order-4 clock, the
        Coxeter-match) agree: E8, not SO(16).
[E] 4. SO THE WHICH-NET AMBIGUITY IS RESOLVED. The "c=8 does not pin the net" worry
(v277/v344) is removed: c=8 PLUS the order-4 clock (the four marks) pins E8. The det
K=1 / holomorphy is then a consequence (E8 has det 1), not an extra open input.
[O] 5. THE RESIDUAL IS PURELY EXISTENCE. What remains open in SEAM.EQUIV.01 is therefore
NOT "which net" but ONLY: does the gapped quasi-free collar actually HAVE a chiral
edge / a massless continuum scaling limit (the bulk-edge correspondence: a gapped E8
bulk has a chiral c=8 edge)? That existence question is the literature-anchored
continuum-limit leg (Osborne-Stottmeister, Adamo OS; v336). The residual is sharper
(existence of the chiral edge), with the net and the holomorphy already pinned.

HONEST SCOPE: [E] the order-4 clock + Coxeter-match jointly pin E8 over SO(16) (resolving the
which-net ambiguity, non-circularly); [O] the existence of the chiral edge / scaling limit
(v336) is the remaining residual. A sharpening; it does NOT close SEAM.EQUIV.01. Python-only."""
