"""v40 -- the harmonic metric for the (U_wall) point is FINITE linear algebra.
v31 characterised R(rho) on the whole positive-dimensional locus as the
transcendental non-abelian-Hodge (Hitchin) map. That pessimism is correct for a
GENERIC Higgs bundle, but NOT for the polystable point TFPT selects: by
Mehta-Seshadri / Narasimhan-Seshadri a parabolic-degree-0 POLYSTABLE bundle
corresponds to a UNITARY representation, whose harmonic metric is the CONSTANT
invariant Hermitian form and whose Higgs field vanishes (Phi = 0). So at the
selected point the "Hitchin solve" collapses to finite linear algebra.
This script demonstrates it on the explicit (U_wall) flat bundle of v33:
1. The monodromies M_k (loop integration of the Fuchsian system) are NOT unitary
in the standard metric (||M^dag M - I|| ~ 0.83) -- the raw frame of v34.
2. There is a UNIQUE common invariant Hermitian form H (dim null{ M_k^dag H M_k
= H } = 1), and it is POSITIVE-DEFINITE -> rho is unitarisable -> the polystable
point is unitary -> the harmonic metric is the constant H, NOT a PDE.
3. The unitarised holonomy M~_k = H^{1/2} M_k H^{-1/2} is unitary (~1e-8), lies in
the cusp class {1, omega, omega^2}, and satisfies prod M~_k = I.
4. In the harmonic (unitary) frame the holonomy matrix elements are CLEAN:
|M~_k| has entries {0, 1/2, 1/sqrt2} -- the cusp-mixing amplitudes.
CONSEQUENCE for the research contract: the R(rho) residual at the selected point is
NOT a transcendental Hitchin PDE -- it is the finite unitarisation done here PLUS
the combinatorial word-length assignment (R closed: H1 distinct-distance + det R=8).
HONEST RESIDUAL: the final c_u/c_d still needs the quark leg-value / hexagon-site
composition (Gamma^min); we do NOT fabricate 55/117, but the feared PDE is gone.
