"""v489 -- SEAM.CCC.01: the chiral central charge c_- = 8 measured DIRECTLY from the bulk
ground state of the v367 seam lattice model, via the modular commutator of Kim-Shehab-Kim
(PRL 128 (2022) / arXiv:2110.06932, 2110.10400):

    J(A,B,C) = i Tr( rho_ABC [K_AB, K_BC] ) = (pi/3) c_-

for a disk tripartitioned into three 120-degree wedges A,B,C (counterclockwise). This is the
FIRST ground-state witness for premise (i) of SEAM.EQUIV.01 (c_- = 8) that is INDEPENDENT of
both the Chern-number route (v367: FHS curvature of the Bloch bundle) and the counting route
(v378: KLM/det-Cartan arithmetic): J is read off the entanglement data of the exact bulk
ground state alone -- no band topology, no representation theory enters the measurement.

Everything reduces to the Majorana covariance matrix (Peschel):
    Gamma_ab = (i/2) <[gamma_a, gamma_b]>          (real antisymmetric, exact BdG ground state)
    K_X      = (i/4) gamma^T W_X gamma + const,    W_X = -2 artanh(Gamma_X)
    J        = (1/4) Tr( [W_AB, W_BC] Gamma_ABC )
(the global sign convention of K drops out of J, which is bilinear in the two K's).

Model (v367): BdG p+ip Bloch Hamiltonian h(k) = sin kx sx + sin ky sy + (M - cos kx - cos ky) sz,
M=1 (gap 2, topological), M=3 (trivial control), M=-1 (orientation flip). One layer carries
c_- = 1/2; the carrier is N_Maj = dim S^+ = 2^(g_car-1) = 16 decoupled layers => c_- = 8.

  [E] 1. GROUND-STATE PURITY.  the exact BdG covariance matrix satisfies eig(i Gamma) = +-1
        to machine precision (max | |lam|-1 | < 1e-12) -- J is evaluated on the exact pure
        ground state, not an approximation.
  [E] 2. PER-LAYER c_- = 1/2.  J(A,B,C) at L=32, R=12, M=1 gives c_- = 3J/pi = 0.499998
        (converged: 0.499793 at L=16 -> 0.500000 at L=48, R=18, dev -1.8e-7; here L=32 with
        tol 1e-4 keeps the suite fast).
  [E] 3. TRIVIAL + ORIENTATION CONTROLS.  M=3 (Chern 0) gives c_- = 0.000000 (|c_-| < 1e-4);
        M=-1 gives c_- = -0.499986 (sign flip with orientation) -- J tracks the phase, not
        the algorithm.
  [E] 4. LAYER ADDITIVITY IS EXACT.  J(2 decoupled layers) - 2 J(1 layer) = O(1e-14) -- J is
        additive over decoupled layers (block-diagonal Gamma), so the 16-layer carrier value
        is 16 x the per-layer value.
  [E] 5. THE 16-LAYER CARRIER: c_- = 8 = g_car + N_fam.  DIRECT computation on 16 stacked
        layers (L=16, R=6): c_- = 7.9967 (documented tol 1e-2 at this small L; the L=24
        direct run gives 7.999781); via exact additivity x the L=32 per-layer value:
        c_- = 8.0000 (tol 1e-3).  This pins premise (i) of SEAM.EQUIV.01 from the ground
        state alone.
  [E] 6. CLIP-PARAMETER INVARIANCE.  the artanh regularisation eps in W = -2 artanh(Gamma)
        moves c_- by < 1e-6 between eps = 1e-8 and 1e-12 -- the entanglement Hamiltonians
        are numerically stable.
  [O] 7. HONEST FENCE. this pins c_- = 8 on the LATTICE ground state; it does NOT close
        SEAM.EQUIV.01 -- the continuum scaling limit (MMST, v336) stays [O], and the
        condensation step SO(16)_1 -> (E8)_1 stays the cited KLM argument (v378/v154/v351).

Status: [E] Lattice (modular-commutator measurement + controls + additivity); [O] the
continuum limit.  Third independent witness for c_- = 8 (after v367 Chern and v378 KLM);
does NOT close SEAM.EQUIV.01. Python (numpy; Peschel covariance + entanglement Hamiltonians)."""
