Start with the E₈ construction.

The first module builds the lattice explicitly. It checks the glue, constructs its 240 roots and tests the lattice basis. You can read the source before running it.

What is tested: Shared ℤ₄ discriminant data; glue norms 5/4 + 3/4 = 2; 240 roots of squared length 2; an integral, even basis with determinant 1.

This is a mathematical lattice check. Identifying that lattice with a physical system requires additional arguments and retains its own status.

Two-step PS solve + d=6 tau_p(p->e+pi0); the carrier-native PS UV branch survives proton decay ONLY with the E8-allowed (15,1,1) [single 45]: minimal 16-Higgs M_GUT~2.4e15 -> tau_p~4.4e33 yr KILLED by Super-K (2.4e34), +(15,1,1) M_GUT~5.9e15 -> tau_p~1.6e35 yr safe now but at the Hyper-K reach (~1.4e35) -> a dated kill test within the decade. Marginal (only ONE 45 in the hull, v247) + O(3) hadronic uncertainty. A (boundary-only) stays canonical.
