"""v198 -- QGEO.MODULAR.01: cracking the bedrock one decisive level further. The
open residual of v194 (the full-L^2 commutator [rho, Lambda_Sigma] = 0, framed as
"Bisognano-Wichmann geometric modular flow", with a circularity worry) is here
(a) made EXACT at the principal-symbol level and (b) reduced -- via Tomita-
Takesaki, with NO conformal-covariance assumption -- to a clean STATE-INVARIANCE.
This removes the v194 circularity and reduces the bedrock to its sharpest,
most-operational form: "the raw quasi-free seam state is mu4-invariant".
[E] 1. PRINCIPAL SYMBOL COMMUTES EXACTLY (on ALL of L^2, not just H^1). The
DtN principal symbol is |k| = sqrt(-d^2/dtheta^2) (Lee-Uhlmann, v156); the
clock rho: z|->iz is rotation by pi/2, theta|->theta+pi/2. In the Fourier
basis e^{in theta}: |k| = diag(|n|) and rho = diag(i^n), both DIAGONAL, so
[rho, |k|] = 0 EXACTLY on every mode. The leading-order commutation is
FREE, on the whole boundary -- the open part was never the principal symbol.
[E] 2. TOMITA-TAKESAKI: [rho, Lambda_Sigma] = 0 <= omega o rho = omega. The
modular operator Delta_omega is INTRINSIC to (M, Omega); a state-preserving
algebra symmetry (rho Omega = Omega, rho M rho* = M) commutes with Delta,
hence with the modular Hamiltonian log Delta ~ Lambda_Sigma. This needs
ONLY the state + reflection (which RP supplies) and NO conformal/Poincare
covariance -- so it REMOVES the v194 Bisognano-Wichmann circularity worry.
[E] 3. THE FINITE BLOCK ALREADY HOLDS. On H^1 the covariance is mu4-equivariant
(rho* w_k = i^k w_k, v177), so omega o rho = omega holds on the finite
block; combined with (1), the open part is neither the principal symbol
nor the finite block.
[O] 4. THE IRREDUCIBLE RESIDUAL (sharpest, non-circular form). What remains is:
"the FULL raw quasi-free seam state is rho-invariant", omega o rho = omega
<= the Gaussian bulk MEASURE is rho(deck)-invariant = the mu4 deck is a
symmetry of the raw seam. This is the maximally-operational form of
QGEO.SYM.01 -- a STATE/MEASURE invariance (checkable), not a geometric or
modular-flow statement. A foundational symmetry postulate cannot be derived
from nothing (like c = const); it is now in its sharpest, most falsifiable
form, and the circularity is gone.
VERDICT: the bedrock is cracked to "omega o rho = omega" -- principal symbol
exact, Tomita-Takesaki non-circular, finite block already invariant. NOT a full
closure (the foundational mu4-symmetry of the raw seam measure persists, [O]),
but the residual is now a single clean state-invariance, not a diffuse geometry.
Python-only (the principal-symbol Fourier commutation is exact and Wolfram-
mirrored; the Tomita-Takesaki step is a standard AQFT theorem, logical).
