Independent exact census and analytic review of The reviewed candidate,not original selection of Cartan identification. std⊗sign rotation representation was already proved. No physical spacetime chirality,charge conjugation,OS reflection,Yukawa equality or identification with original C12/48 cover. Twelve X-inverting maps differ by color/weak Weyl actions. Candidate general impossibility claim is therefore too broad. Actual family-vector action is separated in companion finding.

Result
Under extra fixed orthogonal Cartan identification c(x,y,z)=(-y,x,z),exactly1920of3840 D5 signed permutations preserve full E8 roots,all exchanging the two marked64 sectors. Exactly12 preserve color/weak root blocks and unorientedX line,all X→−X; none preserve orientedX. Even total E8 half-root parity analytically forces odd signs in both blocks. Generally exchange parity is sign:S4→C2. Existing C4 descent t=z⁴ has local signs(−,+,−); intermediate cover s²=t,s=z² already has A4 monodromy and preserves marked64. Full C4 cover is stronger than needed for this grading alone.
Required assumptions
- Additional fixed orthogonal identification with the D3 Cartan
For the Cartan test only, identify the v117 rotation triple orthogonally with the last D3 coordinate block of the fixed marked D5+D3 E8 roots. Tested lifts are blockwise signed coordinate permutations. This is not an operator identity implied by original SU3⊂SU4 embedding or a physical chirality identification.
